Schumacher cancels comeback.: Due to neck injuries he sustained in a motorcycle accident earlier this year, Michael Schumacher will be unable to be Massa's replacement at Ferrari while the Brazilian recovers. Luca Badoer, Ferrari's current test driver, will race in Valencia. Badoer hasn't competed in race conditions since 1999 when he drove for Minardi.

LOL! I still love how you wrote the headline on the original story. Comedy gold!
The thing I'm finding funniest about this is Luca Di Montezemolo's remarks to the press. He's basically saying how bitterly disappointed they are, how sad he is, and he spends most of the rest of it fellating Michael, then goes onto to damn Luca Badoer with faint praise at the end of it by pretty much saying "Well he's okay I suppose".
Class act!
Though Michael not appearing doesn't make Valencia any more appealing. The circuit is horrid. The only driver I consider myself a fan of will most likely not be racing. (Alonso. I like other drivers like Rosberg, Glock, Trulli etc... But wouldn't call myself a fan.) And the driver I would most like to see win the race probably won't. (Webber.)
Ah well, this whole story has kept F1 in the press on their mid summer break. Though I swear all along this was nothing but a PR stunt by Ferrari and they never had any intention of having Schumacher race.

Bummer. I was hoping to see how he'd do against the new wave.
