The Captain, the Golden Brett, 'Lucky' Luc, and , well, Brian Leetch are the 2009 HHOF inductees.: Don't think there was a doubt on any of them making it. All are first-ballot HOFers. But names like Bure, Ciccarelli, and Gartner have to wait again to be called...and it could be longer for some...
Pretty impressive that 3 of the inductees all won a Cup together. I wonder whether that's happened before.

The Lindros/Bure debate is interesting; if you consider their play when they were healthy, they were the cream of the crop talent-wise. If we're putting the best players at the time in the hall, they both deserve to be there more than Larmer does. If it's overall career performance, Larmer's gotta go.

Bure gets in ahead of Lindros; for me Lindros never lived up to the hype and took himself out of games due to immaturity far too often. Bure, I never wanted to see him lining up against my team.

agreed billsaysthis... I'm a Flyers Fan and Lindros should not go in in my book. Bure I could make a case for as he was consistent and always a threat and won some scoring titles. I also think about what they really accomplished while playing, and I don't know that either really did anything to stand out.

I mean nothing against Leetch, he's more than worthy of induction. Just don't remember him ever having a nickname... ::shrugs::
