dusted, I brought that issue up while creating the Baseball leagues, sent an email to everyone asking for an opinion, and the majority vote was no limit on moves in both a weeks time and for the full season.
The roto format would allow something very similar as well. Yes, there are preset limits per position, but unless you are checking your roster every day, it is very easy to fall short of those max. games. That again, would allow quantity to beat quality. I don't wish to cause controversy either, but I do feel the same as you.
(By the way, I spent most of the year in last place and somehow managed to finish 7th, after 2 straight wins. Suckers.)

Why is it not very sportsmanlike to play by the rules? yahoo allows me to add and drop as many players as I'd like in a given week, I did nothing wrong.
BTW, I won this league because 8 people passed on Dwayne Wade and someone gave up on Antwan Jamison and dropped him early on and I had the number two spot on the waiver wire.

He won within the rules. If you are looking for it to be unsportsmanlike like it will be unsportsmanlike. Personally, there's no way I could have kept up with his adding and dropping.

My opinion is not that you cheated in any way. I don't discredit your win. I do however, think that limits should be set on the number of transactions allowed per season. Especially when there are only 10 teams. That leaves too many quality players available, daily. (When there are 14/16 teams, this issue never comes up due to the owners not having the same quality of FA at the ready.)
I was commissioner of this league and I apologize for not at least proposing limits to be set prior to the season. But as I did in baseball, the majority vote will decide the rules.
By the way:
jbou - 29 total moves during the season, no trades dusted - 34 total moves, 2 trades
So, dusted, you really have little to complain about.

BoKnows, I meant the amount of moves made during the playoffs. It's almost impossible to lose on any given week if you have quite a few more games than your opponent.
jbou, I agree that a large part of your winning the league was the Wade and Jamison pickups. I went back and looked, and you made five moves in the semifinals and four in the finals. That's not excessive, so my apologies - I should have looked a little closer before (metaphorically) opening my mouth. Congratulations.
Sorry for pissing in the water in a very friendly and competitive league. My bad.

Without trying to cause controversy, I felt the constant adding and dropping was not very sportsmanlike. Maybe we should switch to a roto format for next year? What's the skill in making sure you have fifteen more games than the other guy?
