"Coach of the Year" doesn't hold much water in Toronto: Sam Mitchell, the National Basketball League's Coach of the Year in 2006-07, has been fired after a 132-93 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday. Jay Triano, one of Mitchell's assistants and the longest-serving member of the coaching staff, takes over on an interim basis, becoming the first Canadian-born head coach in NBA history.

Yeah - he had a good year that one year. The rest has been nothing less than underwhelming. If you look back over the Raps last month of last year, playoffs and this year's start, they've been a consistently underacheiving team.
