Congress & Baseball:What a Farce.: Pure public relations & waste of money
Do you think that maybe Congress has more pressing issues to investigate? What about a war that has claimed thousands of lives that was based on a lie? What about those Weapns of Mass Destruction? Let's think about health care( or the lack of it), which is so out of control that it will eventually bankrupt this country. What about privatizing Social Security, an idea that will fill the pockets of financial institutions and empty those of it's intended beneficiaries, the American public? What about that "War on Terrorism", who's leader is still cavorting around the Middle East 4 years after the attacks of September 11, 2001? How about the growing schism between the poor and the rich in this country, which as history as told us over and over, is the primary cause of civil unrest and eventual downfall of that society? This "hearing" is a farce. It is a public relations bonanza for the politicians involved. Free air time and media coverage--now you're getting these guys hot. Not only won't they get anything new out of this farce, it won't change anything one iota. The catch phrase that will be used over and over is the "profound influence steroid use has on the youth of America". Hey guys, what about the responsibilities of parents and youth league coaches to instill and enforce the right ideals for their kids? We keep passing the buck in the name of Political Correctness instead of tackling a problem at it's source, which we all really know, is us.
