STRAT-O-MATIC Anyone?: Sporting News is replaying the 1986 season with "celebrity" managers & it looks pretty cool. There are several games to choose from. Cost is $24.95. Minimum of 12 players. http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/
And can whatever I do involve Lloyd Moseby?

Lloyd moseby! wow, I havent heard that name in a while. He is the only guy to ever steal first base, and second base twice all on the same play, though. i think for that alone he should be in the hall!

What do I do? How do I do it? Let's give it a week to see who wants to play. There are public leagues we can join if we can't find 12 folks here.

I joined a Strat-o-matic league back in '94. I was bored and kind of lonleyish in Central Illinois and I joined the league for something to do. It was actually a lot of fun. I had the very first pick in the league and I chose Barry Bonds. I suck at strategy types of games, but Barry's card was packed with so many high offensive numbers that I didn't really have to know how to properly manage a baseball team.

Have you also checked with the folks over at Metafilter? That is, if you are a member?

Sure, check it out DrJohnEvans. I've been a member since 2001 but I don't comment or post anymore.

I had a punt around the link yesterday and it looked ian-teresting. However, forgive my ignorance, but is this a one-season deal or a continuing-seasons thing. Also is that $24.95 per season or a one-time buy in and if so is that each or split between the 12? First person to tell me to go back and RTFA gets a free badger*. *Provided no one stops in the road outside my house and takes it first.

My belief is that it is 24.95 per team
