Le Grand Costanza is ready for the Team Time Trial. Unless of course they're still leaving out the best stage of the race like the last couple of years.

There is some very good tour related stuff here Chapeaux! After about 70 miles, which is to say already into unknown territory, dehydration set in. The water bottles had been empty for some time. Suddenly the country lanes of Kent started to waver. There was a wave of drowsiness that felt almost hallucinatory. And the idea of riding a stage of the Tour de France seemed like a very bad idea indeed. Charlie's Tour de Farce A brief history Watch on Google earth

Mini leagues are now open. I took the liberty of setting a SpoFi one, and registering SpoFites who had given their team name, since the site allowed me to add anybody of my choosing to our mini-league. SpoFi Standings If you want to join the mini-league, you'll have to follow this tortuous path: 1. Go to a standings page. 2. Find your team in the mega long list. 3. Click on your team name. 4. At the bottom of your team's profile there is a section called "Mini-League Manager" 5. Choose a free spot and click "Add a league" 6. In the subsequent form, enter 10033947 as league code, and submit the form. 7. Confirm Tada! Man, Project Confidence, however inadequate in my view, is a joy to use compared to this...

Many thanks qbert. And yes, it is far too complicated! But hey, at least I'm winning.

As of now, my most prolific rider is my cheapest one. My sprinters are shite.

Rasmussen FTW! I think I'm going to be back in the hunt once they count the points for today's stage.

The best (free) site I could find is at Velogames. You get 100 credits to pick a team of nine riders, including 2 all-rounders (yellow jersey candidates), 2 climbers, a sprinter, 3 domestiques and a wildcard. Once you pick your team, that's it, there are no transfers and they all score points based on their performance throughout the 3 weeks. - Detailed run-down of the rules and the scoring system. Sign up here if you're interested. On the front page of the site, it says there will be mini-leagues implemented before the race starts, so maybe you could post your team name here for the time being. Then I can add us all to a Spofi league once it's activated. CLOSING DATE: SATURDAY 1300 CET FYI: Velonews Tour site BBC cycling coverage Guardian site with rider/team guide
