The moral of EPL Fantasy League Week 34 (April) should be obvious: You need Thierry Henry. You can't not have Thierry Henry on your squad and expect to contend for the title. Full stop. Henry's 21 was the basis of catfish's season-high-in-the-league (I think) 100 (and late entrant garfield's 96!), as well as the scores of four of the league's top five squads. With four weeks to go, first place sits on a knife's edge between kWaCkY and squealy, separated by a single point. (more inside)

(apparently premierleague.com has made changes to their own table code, forcing me to tweak the script I use to generate these)

The battle to avoid relegation is shaping up too. How many weeks are left? Four?

Damn it, I saw the April results and thought I moved up in the standings. I am curious to know how many of the teams I am beating (or losing to) are still coaching their teams. T Trendel has zero transfers all season, so that probably answers that question. Even so, I am barely holding on to the coveted 29 slot.

Finally, a respectable score for me. Maybe a top 5 is not completely out of reach. And merci, Monsieur Henry. Merci.

There is a reason I am not the general manager (or EPL equivalent) of a soccer club. But I really do love to watch, does that make me a bad person?

Of course, the smart manager made Saha captain last week as he had a double gameweek. Bastard.

Victory, I mean. Not Murphy's ass. We'll leave that to the Fooker. Ahem.

WC, if FSW shows the Newcastle-Liverpool match on the 15th, you want to bring the Mrs. and the Mini down here? TiVo's your pal! All other Bay Area SpoFites welcome too!

I am really fed up. Van Nistelrooy didn't play on Saturday and my first sub, Campo got 11 points, but then bloody horse face played on Monday so I didn't get the Campo points. It ain't just, I tell you.
