CBS Sportsline or Yahoo fantasy baseball leaguers: Week 1 is in the can. Are we going to do weekly updates? Can we get a volunteer from each league? (i'd volunteer, but i cannot do the snazzy standings/leaders in tables like last year's weekly updates had. i dont know if those are wanted/required in the update. they were kinda nice though.)

anyone for yahoo?

Maybe we can share the duties? Once a week is too much work for this lazy bastard, but I wouldn't mind doing it once every three weeks or month.

I have a script that gets standings and stats for a yahoo league. Would just need to be yanked out of the CMS I have it kludged into at the moment and set up for our league to run. I suppose I could run it and post the results table here.

What's that script written in Pivo? Can you share it?

It is a php script, uses cURL for the screen scrape, and shoots output to a mySQL table after scrubbing. Output is also sent to a text file or xml file if desired. Another php script yanks from the tables for display. I can share it, and will do as soon as it is cleaned up (as I said it is currently wedged into a CMS and I need to pull it out and get it to run standalone).

I'm out on that stuff. I'm as full of technological smarts as the Republicans are on compassion for the poor.

pivo said something important, I'm sure, but I haven't got a clue what it was.

Sorry for the preponderance of geekiness there, but I was asked :)

Yeah but Pivo are you writing a PHP5 version yet?

Wooderson: Let me tell you what Melba Toast is packin' right here, alright. We got 411 Positrac outback, 750 double pumper Edelbrock intakes, bored over 30, 11 to 1 pop-up pistons, turbo-jet 390 horsepower. We're talkin' some fuckin' muscle.

Don't feel bad pivo: I got all excited that someone was using cURL. And for fantasy baseball. That's awesome.

That's what I like about SpoFiers: I keep getting older, they stay the same age.

The older you get the more rules they are going to try and get you to follow. You just gotta keep on livin man. L-I-V-I-N. Easily, Matthew Mcconaughey best role.

This is for fellow Yahoo fantasy leaguers: I'm having problems viewing our league standings. I can sign in and make changes to my team, but I can't get to the league main page. I get an error messgae telling me that I don't belong in the SpoFi legaue. Is anybody else experiencing this as well?

Here is the error messge: There was a problem: • You are not allowed to view this page because you are not in this league. (Error #152)

Maybe something is messed up with your cookies ... Sign out and try to sign back in. Yahoo, I noticed, has been quite buggy this season.

I suppose I'll have to contact Yahoo. I just thought it weird that I can view everything else (as it turns out), but not the standings page.

I'll do the sportsline one, I was going to wait till after this week though, just to let the standings settle down, look for the first update this friday.
