RE: Church of Francesco Totti.
No one seems to no who this chap is. He kind of just dropped into the table as it were. He left a message on the Yahoo EPL message board though:
"found on sportsfilter - thanks! by: Church of Francesco Totti (dah_sab) Tue 02 Sep 11:08PM BST OK, so it looks bad. I join the group and Im in 2nd. But I didnt start until the 2nd week. Im not trolling looking for a league I can win, just glad to have found a decent discussion about it on sportsfilter. Anyway, I usually start well then tinker too much and nosedive. Give it time. -----David/Austin, TX "
Talk about the tale of 2 teams! Me and the Padre tank week 1; but here we are entering week 6 and he's at the top I'm at the bottom. He likes the SpoFi EPL discussion groove... and yet he says nothing in the threads(?)!

I am not happy about this... But soon everything will be back to normal... What the hell happened with Leicester last night?! Someone better do some dope testing.

Oh, great table!

The Church is an abomination of the devil! How can he score that many points consistently? It's just not natural! I am, by the way, underwhelmed by my middling performance. Nonetheless, I am gaining on #5 and #6. Watch out, sauril and BABGi. Next week, top 5!

The hats have to be duly tipped to the Totti dude.

lilnemo: he's at the top I'm at the bottom. That's enough about that, little fish. You and the Padre keep your little fun and games to yourself. Hahahahahaha.

Thanks Fooker!
Notice the subtle Red & Green denoting Mexican Independence Day.
¡Vivá Mexicó!
On preview: wc2k2, I didn't intend to turn the double entendre, but I am most definitely screwed in this competition.

Don't give up, little aquanaut. You obviously haven't heard of The Buddha's Beauty. A tear-jerker that one, one that will inspire young boys, even little clownfish like yourself, to achieve the impossible.

Absolutely inspirationaly reading there wc2k2. I'll soldier on. The boys are a bit low on morale at the moment, but the season isn't over now izzitboys?!

Quotes from that inspirational read ... Mossy: "I will wipe the floor with all of you next year." True to his word. Fooker: "next year i will not take any chances." I wonder what he meant.

I'm pretty happy, the last two or three rounds have been good to me and I epxect even better going forward. Totti, schmotti, the guy doesn't show up here for discussion then he isn't a real SpoFi champion.

You HAVE to keep bringing that up, don't you worldcup...

Sorry, Fooker. That's the last time. There's a chance this may be your glory year. But not if I can help it.

I think FB was talking about himself. And anything that makes FB happy is fine by me.

The Church of Francesco Totti has Heskey in his team. I shall prevail.

Did any of you watch the Leeds-Birmingham City match today? It was the match FSW were showing so I figured wtf. I could swear the referee was either racist or just a Leeds hater from the choices he made and did not make although of course the useless FSW announcers didn't make any comments. Ref gave two yellows in the first nine minutes to black Leeds players while giving Robby Savage a pass on a tackle in between that was just as bad, which was compounded later when Savage did pick up a yellow towards the end of the half. Then the penalty kick, which was Roque Jr.'s second yellow. The fecking announcers never did give an explanation as to why MC was given a rekick other than that it was a call by the assistant referee. Robinson made a great save and I saw no reason for the do over. Much love for Michael and Emile!

Bill, I didn't see it, but I listened and I can tell you Robinson moved forward, which you aint allowed to do. Refs are clamping down on it and it is not the first time it has happened this season, nor will it be the last. You are the first man in the history of the world to suggest Savage is leniently treated by referees. From what I heard Leeds completely lost the plot after we went up and Smith and Kelly were both lucky to stay on. Who the bleedinell is MC?
posted by Fat Buddha at 01:32 PM on September 20, 2003
MC is my nickname for Birmingham City, or else just a typo I made. I agree that after the penalty Leeds gave it up. Probably because they'd be winning in every way except putting ball in net and they got rooked by the referee.
posted by billsaysthis at 06:24 PM on September 20, 2003
Well Bill, "rooked by the ref", is an Americanism too far for my comprehension, but no win tastes sweeter than an undeserved one, so please join me in a hearty guffaw.

Crespo scored 2, Owen 1 and Anelka 1. Henry better screw up tmrw, grr.. Heskey is still a muppet though. Anyone read that quote from the Guardian: Did you know, by the way, that David Blaine has abandoned his attempt to stay in his defended cell for 44 days? Apparently he gave up in despair after hearing the record for doing nothing in a box stands at just under four-and-a-half years and is held by Heskey. Muppet :)
