SportsFilter's programming is now in the hands of its owners (instead of the great and powerful Oz). Although none of us have any ColdFusion skills to speak of, if you have any feature requests you'd like to see, now's a good time to suggest them.

Does matthowie have 2 posts or 6? And why can't I see his comments? :)

Is there a way to sort post by date, my comments, recent comments, and most comments like MeFi? I didn't see it anywhere, but it would be a great feature I think.

I don't have to.. Do you have cookies enabled on your comp? If you don't, it will forget about you..

The user page Locker Room links don't work- they link to a list of the main page posts/comments instead. They are virtually the same link to www.sportsfilter.com/search_comments.cfm?user_ID=NN and www.sportsfilter.com/lockerroom/search_comments.cfm?user_ID=NN I presume that the problem lies in search_comments.cfm being the same page copied to two locations, i.e. having the same code and database calls even though it's located in two different URL locations.

I've had to relogin occasionally too, but that's my own fault. I screwed around with IE cookies for a while, and now it's sketchy. As for features.... I can't think of any. I'm trying too, but I don't know if you can really code into existence flying monkeys (I just want to continue the Oz theme). Would it be possible to somehow use SportsML or XML to parse sports news and statistic RSS feeds? I don't know if you want to portalize SportsFilter, but it would be kind of cool to be able to come here and see a quick newsbit on my four or five favorite teams at the top of the page. It might also provide inspiration for posting, and save me from multiple visits to espn.com, nhl.com, and what have you. Maybe it's unneccessary, but I think it would be a nifty feature.

hincandenza: I just uploaded a fix for that bug this afternoon (the Locker Room links on user pages were broken). Take a look at let me know if it's OK. The RSS feeds are a good idea, though it may have to wait until we get columns going 100 percent. I'd hate to squeeze columns off the sidebar while we're still working on that feature.

Works great on the Lockerroom comments issue. However, one last tweak, possibly: both results come back in chronological order. Is reverse chronological possible, a la MeFi, so the newest posts/comments are first?

Yup. I've flopped the Locker Room comment sort order.

Is there any chance of a spellchecker?

customization for the "columns" text would be nice. my font settings are all pretty small, and serifs are tough at that size...

First on my list is a "send me my lost password" feature.
