"The guy [McGrady] was expressionless after I asked him something, or he was two seconds away from hitting me. I couldn't tell. I'm hoping Tracy takes it with a sense of humor."

Or perhaps Tracy McGrady had an awkward incident with Scottie Pippen and his homosexual tendencies... for those who don't know, I refer to allegations that Pippen entered into homosexual relationships while in college...

Why men don't watch women's sports.

Just curious... how many of us would tune in if the models of Victoria's Secret were playing a basketball game against the cast of Baywatch? And we're talking about horrible basketball playing, but hot girls in bikinis and thongs running up and down the court. I sure would watch it... perhaps even record or TiVo it. Doesn't that say a lot? For men, women's sports is not about the sport itself, is it? It's about the entertainment factor that these women provide to men... and generally, that translates into how sexy they look in their outfits running around... the appeal of women's tennis is that a lot of them are HOT and running around in outfits that get shorter and tighter... Anna Kournakova is a pretty aweful tennis player, yet people go to watch her matches? Why? for the "very best" play? No... because they want to see Anna running around in her tight Adidas outfits. Would we watch Heidi Klum vs. Pamela Anderson in one on one basketball for the "very best" play? I don't think so... I'd rather watch Heidi Klum double dribble around Pamela Anderson than watch a bunch of WNBA players that I don't know... Let's face it fellas... it's not about athletic talent... it's really about sex and the entertainment value of it for us.

What is that silly penis device supposed to prove? That Kobe is like any other dude in the world? That sex and pornos turn him on? I didn't go and beat someone up and force sex on them, but I would totally fail that test... does that prove that I have a tendency to beat someone up for sex? That is some stupid shit.... I hope the prosecution has a better case than that cuz if not, they are sure wasting A LOT of people's time on this...

'My White Slave' and other family favorites

First of all, I clap my hands and applaud all of you ignorant fucks who have chosen to use the word "faggot" to denote a homosexual male... Let's show a little respect and discuss this topic like mature adults instead of 10 year-old boys... Can I call Scottie Pippen a "nigger" athlete? Hmmm... that would be disrespectful and gosh, people who read it might get offended. I'm not black, but I know not to use a word like "nigger" or "negro" when I'm talking about "blacks" or "African Americans" (unless I'm reciting rap lyrics)... and I'm not a homosexual, but I know that I should think twice about calling a gay person a "faggot". Perhaps it's not the "in" thing to be P.C., but the last time I checked, being respectful was still "in". So, let's try to not act like fuckin' Nazis or Klan members and show a little respect... Okay, now that I've said that... I feel bad for Pippen. The guy has won numerous championships and was an All-Star. He has worked hard to build his name in the game, and it's all gonna go to shit because he has to answer to his sexual conduct when he was 18 years old. The guy is not in political office... he's not leading us... he's not even a role model for kids nowadays (how many kids do you know who look up to Scottie Pippen as a role model?)... so, why is his character or his past even an issue? There was no crime committed. This Brent dude needs to get a life... and we all need to start looking at Pippen as an athlete and nothing more. Sure, he's got a gonzo nose and a robotic voice and the whole idea of him saying "Let's make a video and call it 'White Slave'" is pretty disturbing and makes me cringe... but like garfield alluded to in his statement, Kobe's act is FAR worse... because he IS a role model and he HAD a reputation when he made his decision to cheat on his wife... and if the charges hold, he'll go to jail. But Pippen? He was just a college kid trying to make it... he had no reputation to uphold... he had no fans to please... he could do as he please... and i guess homosexual acts pleased him.

Shockey calls Parcells "the homo".

I don't think it gets any better than the on-court tirades of Johnny Mac. This guy was nuts!! There was one time when he went to the net to question a call and a spectator says "C'mon Mac. Not already", and John McEnroe turns to him and says "You got a fuckin' appointment to get to? What the fuck do you care, asshole?"... haha... awesome! Then in the same match, he calls the lines judge a "fucking asshole", breaks two of his rackets, wins the match, and leaves without shaking the umpire's hand. There was another time when John McEnroe played Brad Gilbert and during a changeover, he says something like "Gilbert, you don't deserve to be on the same court as me!". And during the match, he says things like "You're the fuckin' worst. The worst!"... but McEnroe lost that match. In the news conference afterwards, he said "When I start losing to players like him, I gotta start reconsidering what I'm doing even playing this game". It don't get any better than Johnny Mac.

Okay, is the real issue the fact that the guy was 16 and she was 12 or just the fact that she was 12 years old? People seem to have an issue because she was 12 and didn't know any better... but trust me, in the age of Britney Spears and the internet, 12 year old girls know what's up... so, let's not go there. Also, the guy was 16 years old... so WHAT?? would we even be having this conversation if he was 13 years old and she was 12? DEFINITELY not. It wouldn't even come up... now, what's really different mentally about a 13 year old and a 16 year old... do you really learn maturity from being a freshman in high school and being a junior in high school? i don't think so... you're still looking to get laid at that age group... no matter what age the girl is. If we assume that the sex was consensual, are you saying that this guy should have looked at the naked 12 year old girl in his bed who wanted him and said "Sorry, I can't do this... you're too young". Name me one 16 year old who would take the high road like that... and if you know someone like that, he's probably STILL a virgin to this day. You want to talk about atrocious age differences?? Let's talk about Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz or Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore... now, there is some injustice, man.....

MNF's New Sideline Reporter

It sounds like we are all under the assumption that this Lisa Guerrero is not really qualified to give accurate and insightful reports from the sideline. Why are we assuming this? Because she's a woman? Do we know what her qualifications are? I know some women who are huge football fans... and sometimes they can give better insight into the game than a dude....

MNF's New Sideline Reporter

Lisa Guerrero's chances of adding to my football-watching experience - slim to none. I have to disagree with you. Like "therev" said, what possible insight are you looking for from a sideline reporter? They pretty much report what they hear... any schmoe off the street can do the job. So, why not have an attractive girl do it instead of someone like Eric Dickerson. Does Eric Dickerson or Lynn Swann really add insight for you? Do they add to your football-watching experience? I don't know about you, but I think that seeing a hot girl on TV between plays would definitely add to MY football-watching experience... but that's just me.

13-year-old Michelle Wie youngest player ever to win an adult USGA event.

Does she need to conquer the women before she even entertains the idea of playing with men? Says who? Basically, what you're saying is that since she happens to be a girl, she needs to be able to beat the other girls before she takes on the men. At the end of the day, golf is golf. If she can compete on the men's tour at her age or any age, why shouldn't she be able to compete with whomever she wishes? Would things be different if Michelle Wie was a guy who wanted to compete in the PGA?

Children under 17 years old probably don't even remember Jose Canseco back in his prime. What makes this guy think that there are kids out there who even know who he is? I mean, Canseco was most remembered as an Oakland A, back in the mid to late 80s... almost 15 years ago. Fifteen year-old baseball fans might know of Jose Canseco and what he's accomplished, but I doubt there are kids that age who are actual fans... I think the steriods have not only increased his physique, but also inflated his head. I don't know what is more sad... that Jose Canseco would resort to whoring himself to make some money or the fact that there will be someone who actually takes him up on the offer...

13-year-old Michelle Wie youngest player ever to win an adult USGA event.

Michelle Wie's idol is Tiger Woods and not Annika Sorenstam. Michelle Wie doesn't want to become the next Annika. For her, that is a goal that is not much of a challenge. In fact, she is almost expected to become the next Annika... the golf world would be disappointed if she didn't dominate the LPGA. And this is a girl that is not playing golf for the money right now... read articles and interviews and you can quickly see that she loves the game of golf. Michelle Wie is looking to become the next Tiger Woods... and she's only 13 years old. Her game is only going to get better. Give her 10 years (since she plans on going to college)... at the age of 23, I would not be surprised if she's sitting on the leaderboard with the likes to Tiger Woods.

To say that Mike Tyson is overrated by listing 10 heavyweights that are better than him is stupid. Every single one of those 10 heavyweight boxers were before Tyson's time. I don't see names like Evander Holyfield, Buster Douglas, Lennox Lewis, Riddick Bowe, or Michael Moore on that list (all boxers during Tyson's time). That's like saying that A-Rod is overrated because he doesn't stack up to the Babe, Joe DiMaggio, Hank Aaron, Ted Williams, and Mickey Mantle. I don't think there are many people who would argue that A-Rod is overrated. To use this kind of argument for Tyson is shortsighted. I think people are quick to judge Tyson based on his recent downfall and problems outside of the ring. What they forget is how dominant Tyson was in his prime. The guy was a beast! It took Tyson six minutes to win the belt... and he was only 20 years old! He unified the heavyweight belts in 1987 at the age of 21. You know who the last person to do that was before him? Muhammad Ali. Overrated my ass...

RARR!!!

Teams with cats as their mascots seem to have trouble winning recently. Detroit Tigers - worst team in basball right now. Cincinnati Bengals - won two games last season. Carolina Panthers - were 1-15 in 2001. Jacksonville Jaguars - three straight losing seasons. Florida Panthers - 4th worst record in NHL this year. I personally prefer the name "Flights"... at least that name has some historical relevance to North Carolina (Wright Brothers, Kitty Hawk, first flight). And I bet they could swing a pretty sweet deal with Nike with a name like "Flights".
