When someone is raped, regardless of gender, they are wounded at a very deep level that often takes many years to heal. I am an ordained minister and I was molested by one of my brothers when I was 6or 7 yers old. Although I have no hard feelings concerning him, it did have a negative effect on my self esteme that I have only recently came to confront so that the healing might begin. by the way I am now 42 years old.
