Until a contract is offered to Marcus I have to view this as a no story. The guy has enough talent to play in the NFL, but not start.

Is this really news to anyone? Didn't everybody know all of this before the book? I think he should just give it up, the fans have lost a huge amount of respect for him and his acomplishments. However, as has already been said, this is all the fault of Sosa's and McGwire's steroid use first.

This is a sad moment for the baseball community. Kirby was a great ball player, may he rest in peace. He will be missed by Twins fans the world over.

It was his responsebility to stay out of trouble and he couldn't handle it so his dismissal from the team is 100% justified. Finally a school (outside Va Tech) that is dealing punishment the way it should be. However this guy will probably just declare for the draft and end up like so many othrer misguided athletes, broke.

I'm all for the Slam Dunk Contest, it is (or used to be) the highlight of all star weekend. By far it is the most exciting and fun to watch. GO Nate, win it for the short guys!

This is a publicity move by the dads to get people in San Diego or otherwise to give them a look. In seriousnesss though Piazza is still a decent bat to have in the lineup, if he is ever in the lineup that is, but he can hit sometimes.
