As for NFL feelers, this should be sign to the Trojan faithful that Carroll has a fair-market value and that he is aware of what that value is. USC should prepare a compensation package that exceeds Carroll's fair-market value in proportion to the amount that three consecutive national championship games exceeded the University's expectations from the outset. Clearly, Carroll has outperformed any expectation that Trojans have held for a very long time. Not to mention the fact that SC can't let the Irish spend more on a football coach.
