My eyes, My eyes. Someone show Schilling's intern how to format posts properly. Oh wait? he maintains this blog himself. Huzzah. That said, Schilling seems remarkably aware of his critics and comrades in the game of sports reporting. Are all ballplayers like this? I thought they generally avoided reading the columnist. The way Schilling catches them in hypocritical statements is fun to read (more fun if they fixed the fonts). He's also a prolific writer.

Los Angeles has a way of rehabilitating players... or is that putting players into rehab? I forget. Either way, it's nice to see the old baseball team spending a little dough on some talent.

How can you say anything bad about Cribbage? I can't believe Cup Stacking was left off that list or Parkour (freerunning) for that matter.

Great Story. I can think of a few professional players that could use a trip to the artic.

Weak conference argument aside, on any given Saturday with the right prep work, a few lucky ball bounces, and tough play, any team (even a Division-II team) can beat any other. That's why the playoff system is exciting in every other college sport and why college football should have one too. Any body who claims their conference is too good for the 'weaker' conferences is just chicken-shit to play them.

So who is going to be the first to dump a cooler of Gatorade over his coffin at the funeral?

These definitely pass the 'low bar' set for good mascots. But I can certainly see the merchandise possibilities for each. For instance, Quatchi the Sasquatch would make a great plush. :)

Amazing. How tough would it be to do this going back 20 or 30 seasons and get some real statistical significance?

I hope Floyd can do better in the ring than he could on Dancing With The Stars. Maybe he can show off some of those new moves.

As I grew up in the boredom of suburban life, Evel's stunts punctuated my childhood with the excitement of knowing that while there was an edge out there, men of daring could cross over that line and live. But there was a cost and frankly, I'm amazed Knievel lived as long as he did. Here's a tribute to Evel that contains his plans to pull off the ultimate stunt, jumping from an airplane with no parachute.

no matter how you look at it, it's a crap situation. I would normally never say this, but good luck to the Redskins this weekend

What does Isiah have on New York Knicks owner James Dolan anyway? Shouldn't his ass be out the door like 50 games ago?

I did like the little turkey graphic on FOX. Much better than that awful robot thing. How long has that been around anyway? Can't afford to hire a new graphic designer?

Maybe he can get a job over here in the MLS or the reincarnation of the WUSA. Apparently we like to hire losers.

US goalkeeper Hope Solo talks about World Cup fiasco
I hope Solo learned a lesson, and from this story it appears that she did. The coach ended up where he belonged, watching from afar. What's sad is that this World Cup was supposed to result in momentum for a new Professional Women's Soccer League in the US. But this CF has let the air out of those tires. What's it going to take to get the mo again? Who knows.
