Dead is dead, don't care how much care is taken to ensure the animals don't suffer. Look at how many have been put down in the last 4 years. When they are running at full speed and fall and break a leg or something I'm sure they are suffering, the same as you and I would be. By the way I love Primordial goop you should try it, it'll open your eyes. Or maybe you would like someone to put a saddle on your back and whip you and make you run at full speed and say it's not the same

Don't need your respect whatever the horse name is it's dead, and did you see Vick there. 26, 000 is not rich, billions are made on horse racing. Barbaro is a issue, if he hadn't been racing he may still be alive and not put down to prevent further suffering. Don't think horses choose to get out there and race , the same as dogs don't choose to get in a ring and fight, can't have it both ways. Cruel is cruel

they aren't forced to fight, but are beaten with sticks and pumped up with steroids to increase their speed and size. People get rich off horses not dog fighting. Its funny how things that the masses or well off individuals do for sport and that is okay but some underground activity that people may or may not think is ok is villified. This ties in with alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana. Alcohol and tobacco kill more people than anything in this country but it is legal and no one says anything. Marijuana is illegal but u never hear of anyone being hooked on it, but our government doesnt even want to legalize it nationally for the benefits of the medical community. People have gotten rich off alcohol and tobacco, and that is fine but the government can't regulate marijuana so they won't legalize it.The rich make the rules and that is it and no one says squat. I don't agree with dog fighting, but I don't hear anyone saying how Horse racing is cruel to animals. Look at how many race horse have died in the last 4 years. They breed these animals for this, but it's been around for more then a Hundred years, and we got rich people making a lot of money on it. Where the hell is PETA at. Dog racing is the same, do you know what happens when it catches the rabbit, it's shocked where's PETA. You have a women kill her husband and he's a preacher, and she gets 60 days in a mental institution, but there's no big uproar about it. People are hypocrites

yeah i agree with graymatters, the officiating was horrible throughout the playoffs.Yes superstars get preferential calls but if u watched the LA phoenix series u could see that kobe couldn't get a call no matter what he did in games 5-7, that being said Wade got so many phony calls it was pathetic. i saw 4 fouls that were called where 2 should have been offensive(nowitski elbow late in 4th quarter and another where he ran over the guy already on the post. 2 more were called one when he fell down after making a shot no contact. yes dallas erred by not driving to the basket but at some point u get frustrated as a player when u get contact but no foul and watch on the other end when u just graze a guy and the whistle blows. i have been watching the NBA for over 25 years and yes i have seen some spotty officiating but this series rates right up there in the top 5 of all time and what is worse was the obvious blatantness of if, pathetic, well i guess all those guys in the league office are happy now Shaq has his ring without Kobe and that supposedly will further cement his legacy although he was totally useless in this series

to list Bill Walton as the number 2 center of all time is just plain dumb. Walton had 2 great seasons 3 tops and that's it. U rate him over Wilt the most dominant player to "ever" play the game and Russell who changed the way defense was perceived and how important it is in order to win championships. Also i think u fail to realize two players named Walt Bellamy who should have been in the top 50 and Nate Thurmond who is in the top 50. Both of these guys played in the 60's along with Chamberlain and Russell and still put up numbers.As for Shaq he had not one championship when Robinson and Hakeem were dominant, not one. He put up numbers but was outplayed or his team was always outplayed. He is in the top 5 but not before Wilt Kareem Russell or Hakeem, Walton doesn't belong in the top 5 let alone top 50 his numbers don't back up his position. Get your facts straight when u talk about the supposed lack of competition that Wilt and Russell had, Shaq has had less competition at center than any of them ever had and possesses less skill than them all if the league did not allow him to run over people and he played quality centers his whole career then maybe u would have an arguement.

What real center do Shaq play against today, at least when Wilt, Jabbar, and Russell played the game there were other Centers playing them, not Power Forwards

Very good point ktown but they don't debate Ruth they just say he is the greatest of all time, period. I don't know about left handed pitcher, but i do know that Satchel Paige ranks in the top 5 of all time. This guy pitched for over 30 years and came to the majors when he was way way past his prime. Let him in the majors in his prime and we would probably be talking about some of his pitching feats, i'm sure we would

u know what i hear about Babe Ruth being the greatest player of all time what a joke. I think that alot of people forget the greatness of Willie Mays or the consistency of Hank Aaron. Ruth played in a segregated era so he didn't play against the greatest baseball players of the time. Josh Gibson was a better hitter than Ruth and he did so while playing with guys who scuffed the ball did all kinds of things with it and still hit over 800 career home runs.And he played against Satchel Paige consistenly as well as other great Negro League pithcers.U can say he was the greatest player of the segregated era but to say he is the greatest player of all time fails to look at what Mays and Aaron did, look at their stats they speak for themselves, then judge.

yes Kobe's defense team did mention her name in court which was wrong, but did anyone stop to think why she didn't want a public trial. Her reputation would have been shredded, her sexual promiscuity would have been revealed, along with her attempted suicide and other mental problems. I thought rape was rape, not i will shut my mouth and take $5million and feel better about myself. i thought a person that was truly raped no amount of money would make them forget what happened to them and no amount of justice would make them feel better.I guess only in Colorado where u are innocent until proven guilty unless your name is Kobe Bryant

yes Kobe was married, but are u telling me that we live in a society where everyone believes in fidelity. I wonder why the divorce rate is over 50% in this country then. And for those people that don't like him i bet they all have friends that have cheated on their spouses in one situation or another, so do they dislike them now, year right we live in a society full of hypocrites

I read some of the commments posted and just laugh. To all the Kobe haters out there he is the best player on the planet. The Lakers are a mediocre team but that is not his fault, how about finding fault in a guy who is asking for $30 million per year but cannot put in a full season. And yes he did get robbed in the MVP vote(4th place are u kidding me).Dirk has Jason Terry, Stackhouse(not great but alot better than Kobe usually has)Van Horn, Harris, come on. This was a two man race Lebron is putting up Big O type numbers and Kobe was phenomenal at times. Steve Nash played without key ingredients but with that style offense u often gets lots of open shots on penetration, all u have to do is be able to make open shots and he gets assist and looks like he improved his teammates.Alot of haters have come out since the incident in colorado, why don't they just come out and say they are pissed off he slept with a white girl. Isn't it funny how they try to use the black girls past in North Carolina but did everything they could to not use the girls past in Colorado.$5 million dollars for one night with an NBA superstar pretty good payout i would say.People always say he has 3 rings because of Shaq why don't they tell it like it is and say they have 3 rings because of each other and also because of Horace Grant. Rick Fox, Derek Fisher, Glen Rice, Robert Horry and so on. If u don't like the guy fine that is cool, but don't try to label him selfish because alot of people seem to forget that Jordan had many scuffles with teammates at different times in his career and Phil Jackson had to force him to pass to his teammates. See that's why you never assume anything because you would be wrong. And if you're OLD enough to do this then you look the numbers up, that's what i did. why bred horse for racing, when there are plenty of horse out there, sounds like slavery to me. Isn't that what this nation once did with a group of people to make a profit, was that right also.
