SpoFi EPL Fantasy League WEEK 39 Leader: StarFucker? [more mystery inside!]

Also, this is prob. a good time to talk about next season: 1. Do you want to do a SpoFi EPL Fantasy League next season? 2. Who should run it? (NOT ME) 3. Do you still want to do it on yahoo? 4. Who will do the weekly report? (NOT ME) yahoo! is free, simple and straightforward (I don't like the MLS interface - it'd be so much better on yahoo, aside from the lousy updates), but you get what you pay for (lousy, untimely updates). Fooker's suggested Fox or Soccernet. I don't want to pay to play, so I'll prob. stick with yahoo (if we have it next season) or a similar free service with as-good or better (EASY!) gameplay and updates.

1. Yes 2. worldcup2002 3. Only if we can't find another free league. 4. worldcup2002 (you don't even have to use a table) If anyone else volunteers, however, I will support them as well.

No, seriously, I'm done. I said so a while ago. I just want to play. No more reports, real or fantasy. Just the occasional posts, interviews, and definitely comments. I am graduating to the post of elderly statesman. ;-)

Should we make the responsibilities of running the league and writing the weekly report the prize for first place?

Uh, no thanks...i mean...its alot of work. And i'm incredibly lazy.

Can Buddha make up a deficit of 55.32 pts to at least tie it? Or will the Fooker prevail (barely)? Looks like the tussle for positions is happening squarely in the top seven (sorry corpse et al). Some interesting notes: 1. Buddha will finish above BigCalm, just as his team Birmingham finished above city rivals Aston Villa. 2. StarFooker's insurmountable lead looks like so much dust, on the very last week of competition. Kudos to Buddha on his transcendent achievements. Final final final scores, standings and AWARDS will appear in a new Locker Room thread as soon as the points are updated!

Oh SHIT its close! Good thing i picked up Nistelrooy... The only thing Buddha has on me is Henry...a goal and 3 assists.. I've got Hyppia with a goal...but Liverpool lost... Man... I am going to shit if i don't win this...

I just checked SF and FB's team rosters. The only player they had in common was Van Nistelrooy! So, the contest is very much in question. SF: The Hyppia goal will help, but it was no matchwinner. It appears you have more disadvantages than FB. Dudek let in two AND lost the game. Kewell also DID NOT PLAY! Rooney did not score and got a yellow. FB: You appear to have several advantages over SF, including Henry's match-winning goal and assists (those will bring you so close), Murphy's assist to Hyppia, Upson's goal-line clearance, and Friedel's shutout. On the flipside, Gallas got a yellow. I can't wait!

Umm... the full standings are not yet updated, but has anyone else looked at Fat Buddha's and StarFucker's team pages? :-p

OHMUHGAWWWWW! FB: 2657.78 (+124.57 pts) SF: 2634.93 (+46.40 pts) FB did it! Gooooooooooooooooool! Gol! Gol! Gol! Goooooooooooooooooool! I'll wait until it's official before I make a new Locker Room post, but it's looking damn good. Start shitting, SF!

I also think this calls for an interview with FB. I may have to bump grum@work in order to do this interview. Or I'll just run two interviews at the same time! Holy crap!

Thought I'd generate some excitement to start the week off, even tho we won't know the real score until probably tomorrow or Wednesday. (Or never.) They're starting to update the scores! But it's all wack, yo: Individual team pages are wack. E.g., Fooker's total for last week is only 28 pts but you can see each player in his team's score, and those add up to about 60. Group standings are wack. E.g., The scores on the SpoFi Premier league page don't match the scores on our individual team pages. The scores for this (final) week have not been updated. Weekly performance table has still not been updated for last week. It's all crap, but we can still speculate and talk trash. I'm expecting a strong #5 finish for me. Go go go!
