Bulls played good basketball last night and deserved to win, don't compare them to the Hawks. Spurs never take a day off. Huge hurdle for a young team to overcome, beating the Champs at home for the first time since 1998. It is sad to see such a talented Pacers team loose to Atlanta though, I feel sorry for Indiana fans. Championship calaber team year after year, but continue to let down. At least you still have the Colts.

What about Lance Armstrong for a white roll model? He overcame a little bit of adversity huh?

I believe you are correct, but he still sucks. Good guy, just not tough enough. I still ponder on how the hell he managed to put together a 1,000 yard season his rookie year. Whatever, The Bears are a force to be reconed with. Don't forget the "expert" Dr. Z from S.I. ranked them 32nd to start the season.

I know it was mentioned that this years team is stronger up front, but that makes a big big difference in any defense. Allowing the secondary to do their job and cover. Don't forget that 13-3 team from 2001 had Keith Traylor and Ted Washington up the middle of that defense. Two big old blobs in the middle to simply take up space. Who will they chase down? This 2005 defense is built off of speed. Have you seen Tommie Harris chase down QB's half his size? Fun to watch. Offenses have not figured out a way to beat the speed on that team defense. The two defenses have a completly different look. The defensive ends from 2001- Phillip Daniels, Bryan Robinson. This year Alex Brown is coming into his own, Adewale Ogunleye unstoppable. I personally think the corners are better this year, Tillman has his mind lapses occasionally but is still a solid corner. Vasher is a playmaker. And who was our stud running back from 2001, the "A-Train", who is currently a third string back for the cowboys. Jones is a workhorse that doesn't want to loose a spot and the O-line is in much better shape. How many combined pro-bowl trips are on this years O-line? I don't feel like counting that high. 2001 was a fluke, this team has potential. Look at every position and this team is ready to roll. Lovie Smith has set up one hell of a defense, which are all signed through 2006. Fast, Smart, and Conditioned. Watch out for the Bears the next two years. This is no fluke. DAAAAAAAAAAAA BEARS. Don't forget Orton is a rookie, he will get better. I agree with willthrill72, much better, deeper defense and much better running game.

Please let them close the damn roof, let these two great teams play the game. White Sox will win either way. MLB has no business telling Houston what they can do with their own field. Give the Astros their hump in center field, give them their left field wall, and give them thier closed roof. I am tired of hearing excuses for why the Chi Sox are putting an ass kicking on every team throughout the year and throughout the playoffs. I don't need to hear it anymore. Their are no excuses for a 9-1 record in the playoffs and a 99-63 record in the regular season. This is a damn good team, bad calls or not. Garland is shutting them down tonight, either way WHITE SOX WINNERS!!!

since ya'll needed a thread I'll now reiterate =D who was the best back of all time
Barry Sanders was a pleasure to watch, it was a shame he retired so early or this would be a different conversation. Walter Payton was tough and had so much heart. Neither of them had much talent around them on offense and both were class acts. Jim Brown was by far the most dominant back of his time. He would run people over and then burn past the rest of the defense. So much power and speed. To say that no back in history even comes close to Sanders is just stupid. I love Sanders, but I think those three backs are so close that it is hard to determine the best. They were all in different era's of football. They all had a different style of running and they all did damage.
