The rich tradition of baseball in the city of St. Louis, MO got a little richer tonight.

I absoutlutely love the recent trend in baseball of the underdogs winning it all...in the last few weeks no one gave the cardinals a shot at winning a game much less winning any of the series that they were in...even the fox pregame and baseball tonight tilted almost all of thier covereage on the cards opponents....as far as rogers goes....jim leyland knew that he would crumble under the pressure that this game presented and that his best shot at winning with him would be at home where maybe he could curtail the pressure and make a decent start against anthony reyes....it was a bad situation for the tigers....i dont think eckstien should have been mvp( and way to go bud selig on the pronounciation of his name) i think it was a toss up between rolen and eckstien...just like rolens 10 game hit streak and defensive prowess on third...nothing against the little guy..he is a hell of a ballplayer and i hope he stay in st. louis for years to come. Now the real work begins for walt jocketty....i dont think we can resign mulder, carpenter, and suppan...but we need at least two out of the three...maybe trade encarnacion for a good lefty and let mulder go..i just hope spezio can hang around for another year...maybe become the everyday guy in left...anyway...i was born in '82 and we won the series...my son was born in '06 and we won the series...and based on my celebration last night...there is a good chance we see a winner in '07.

Green Light... RED LIGHT! haha go back to the beginning.

i might be wrong on this....but isnt the field frozen once the caution comes out....he wouldnt have lost any positions if he hadnt stopped...if he would have just driven through wouldnt he still have kept his position? as far as the rule goes...it is the rule...yeah it was unfair that he didnt have time to turn left...but his spotters and crew chief should have told him to go on.

MLB puts a parental lock on your season and fav teams,

I have an interesting option for those of you using directv...when i signed up for my service i was not able to get my local fox channels(in fact we didnt have one in SWMO). St. Louis was the closest city that it was available(4 hrs away)...i was bummed becuase i couldnt watch the saturday cardinals games on fox or the sunday ones on the WB. But i discovered a little trick that allowed me to at least catch them on the east and west coasts...i get fox east and fox west(for about 2.00 a month) since i wasnt in a fox market directv allowed me to do this. The trick works much better during football season ( i virtually see every game every weekend that is broadcast of tv.) But it will allow people who live on the east coast to follow west coast teams and vice versa. Just make sure you arent close to a fox station...or at least lie about your Zip code. oh yeah....i live in stl now....and i never miss a game....between fox, fsn, and the local wb i see them all....and can still follow the fall of the yanks and the end of barry bonds on the weekends.

This is getting ridiculous

I gotta agree with stlcardinalfan...a spring training game between the cubs and cardinals would have be more exciting for cards fans. I cant stand the thought of watching scott rolen, jim edmonds or albert pujols (i dont know for sure if edmonds or rolen will play, but you can substitute any other star player for any other team in thier place) tear up a shoulder or knee in a stupid exhibition game that has nothing to do with anything but money for the selig legacy of major league baseball. You know that these guys are all super competitive and wont hold back at all, making the possibility of a major injury almost a certainty. The other countries are playing just for the chance to beat the USA at a game that is supposed to be the american pastime...we are only playing to make a little bit of a profit. I hate to see the career of a superstar player end for such a stupid reason. It will happen...i just hope the baseball gods are smiling on St. Louis this year. Lord knows after the blues and rams we need some good times here.
