If drug investigators wanted him to work for them in order to get a lighter sentence thats par for the course among druggies. I think the lawyer is trying to create some noble ground for Grimsley, to make it sound like he was some kind of brave hero AND it will work for many idiots. Truth is, wire or no wire, he is just another doped up ballplayer using drugs to cheat the players and the fans. Just a doper in doper world and the cops have him by the ass. good bye you jerk

Other dancer called rape charge a "crock"
This case is scary because it appears to be so cheezy and that the players are getting mauled with so little evidence. When the DNA testing failed that should be, in today's legal climate, the end of the case. The DA was running for office and seemed to be courting the black vote and decided to keep the case going on. There seems to be no real evidence in this case other than sensational allegations that are given credence because the media repeats them over and over. If this case had been a black player and white/hispanic/asian/bulgarian cheerleader victm the case would have been over with the failed DNA test and the same community would be citing racism because he was charged. And the media (mostly ESPN) would be weeping openly at how awful this investigation is. Racism comes in many colors but politicians and journalists seem to only be yellow.
