Man, I would have LOVED to see that game! No mention of how the goalies did - probably ended up as one big black and blue mark!

Packer fans, it was your chosen deity Vince Lombardi who said " if you aint cheetin', you aint tryin.'" Uhhh, Vince wasn't the one who coined this phrase. It was someone who came a bit later, and from a different sport - Lary Sorensen.

Smart money is on the Flyers landing him. I don't know about that. The Avs have cap money to spare, Forsberg still has a condo in Colorado, and Sakic can be pretty convincing at times...

As a Rox fan, it thrills me to see this. This is only the second post-season showing for Colorado (the first being a wild card slot in the 1995 strike-shortened season, which I'm not sure really counts!). They were beaten by Atlanta in that one (in 4 games) - I'm cautiously optimistic that they will do a little better this year.

The Hawk mascot has to keep flapping its wings during the entire game (or it loses its scholarship). Are you kidding about this? For real? What the!!??!! Apparently it is true. Here's '5 questions' for the mascot himself.

Pretty cool. Almost gladiator-esque in nature. Reminds me of why I would rather watch Rugby than play it - the old body probably couldn't take the abuse!

It is in Iowa (where I currently reside), and it is 6 teams - here's a blackout map for anyone interested. The blacked out teams don't matter much to me (though I wouldn't mind seeing a Cubbies or Cards game once in a while) as I'm a Rockies fan. With the way the Rocks play (pretty much every year!), I'm not sure if it would bother me that much if they were blacked out!

the media goofs will figure out that a Gold Helmet Hey, the University of Colorado has that! Why shouldn't they get the same treatment?! and a PAST TRADITION of excellance (sic) Oh, yeah, I guess there is THAT. Ummm, never mind. (I am a CU alum, btw)

Questionable Call
Of course all this happens when I decide to root for the Chargers. I am truly cursed.
Could you root for the Chargers again when they play the Broncos next time? And how about the Raiders? Could you root for them as well when they next play the Broncos? It would be appreciated!
