I think Maddux is a borderline case. If he could just somehow stick around long enough to get a few more wins, he might make the Hall Please...Maddox has broken Cy Young's records....isn't that the standard pitchers are measured against? Maddox will go to the hall.

The NFL needs to show some stones on overpaid Prima Donna's like TO. He has a contract and should be forced to honor it. In no other profession can you attempt to change your employment terms after only one year or threaten to move to another branch of the same company if your requests are not granted. Any person with a real job would be put out on the street for trying such things. He has no honor or morals.

Artest got off easy. If any non-athelete were to attack a co-worker or a customer, they would loose their job AND be in jail. Howerer, in today's world, this jerk will be able to spin this into a book deal. A high profile job with a large paycheck should never be an excuse to do as one pleases. The "fans" involved should also face criminal charges for assault and disorderly conduct.

Palmiero busted?
If he is on 'roids, he is a scab and a cheat. In my opinion that is much worse than what Pete Rose did...the punishment should fit the crime. There is no place for cheats in any aspect of life.
