All-new, all-female, all-punk Roller Derby: Another Steven Wells column for you all.
This is kick ass. I have a half-dozen or so friends that do this in Boston & NY, and it's total rock-the-fuck-out fun for everyone involved. I'm thinking about refereeing next year.

Great article, but is the following really true (i.e., "Is it happening everywhere and I've managed to miss it?"): "While conservative bigots in America are frantically trying to get women off the soccer pitch and back into the cheerleading closet . . ."

It has been happening almost everywhere. It costs like $10-$15 a ticket here in Austin, they serve Lone Star, and a bunch of different cheap beers.I think...maybe just Lonestar. Its great fun with live music and sexy tatooed suicide type girls.

I visited the aforementioned Carolina Rollergirls site. I might be interested in seeing this once if every woman on the roster didn't have an incredibly stupid fake name.
