NFL Pick 'Em Contest, Final Scoreboard: The results have been tabulated and NerfballPro completes a wire-to-wire victory, winning by one point over Hincandenza and two over NoMich. Picking the 52 points scored in the game exactly earned a one-point bonus for the champ. Tommytrump takes home the coveted Costanza for last place, sunk by a conference championship round in which everything that could go wrong did.
Man, if I hadn't screwed up Week 1 so badly, I might've won this damn thing. Good times, though, so thanks for doing this.

You're welcome. Sorry I forget to post the results as I wallowed in post-game coverage of the game for days.
You were a beast in the second half score predictions.
The margin of error for the final score needs to be tighter than .3. The only players who didn't get a point there were no-shows.

Thanks for running it rcade, although I was buried at work Super Bowl weekend and didn't get my final-round picks in. Still tied TommyTrump, though. What'r you, a hockey fan, Trump?

Oh man, what a finish- I didn't realize it would be so close! One point, that could have been any of several spread picks through the whole playoff run.
Congrats NerfballPro, and thanks for running this rcade!

Guilty, with an innate ability to pick the wrong team in the Super Bowl.

rcade: are you planning on doing an NBA playoffs version? If you want help (or just someone else to run it), I'd be happy to volunteer. It's should be a great post-season this year, especially in the West.

Looks like I have lived down to my reputation as a prognosticator once again. I really enjoy participating in these. Many thanks, rcade, for doing it. I know it can be a lot of work.

The only thing I can say about my performance is that old cliche: Even a stopped clock is correct twice a day.
Other than that, I do vote for tightening the spread as well, and would like to add increasing the bonus points for being dead-on with the number picks (increase to two points instead of one, maybe?)
Thanks for running the game, rcade......and thanks hincandenza and everyone.

Ufez: That would be great. Would it be like the NHL contest?

Um, I don't think I've participated in the NHL ones, so...maybe?
I was just picturing picking each series and some bonus points on a per-round basis. Highest PPG in X round, most fouls in X round, etc. I could probably get pretty creative with it.

I've been trying to start a Dick Cheney - Harry Whittington style pick 'em that just covers the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. I won't consider it to be a success unless I get Santorum enrolled.

Does that mean that flops are tracked as a statistical category now?
