NHL Playoff Pick 'Em Results, Blame-the-World-Cup Edition: The results finally have been compiled for our annual NHL Playoff Pick 'Em. Cixelsyd is the runaway champion with 18 points and Rumple takes home the coveted Costanza.
Thanks for doing this rcade. I was actually trying to win, so the Constanza was come by honestly.
Crazy free agency period in the NHL. The Stars look really good. The Central Division is going to be crazy.
The Canucks are trying to retool on the fly which is going to be tricky considering the division they are in, where at the very least Edmonton is going to be a lot better I think from below and it's hard to imagine the Canucks running with the Kings, Sharks and Ducks quite yet. Probably only three teams make it from the Pacific division into the playoffs, too, since the Central is so stacked. Still if there is a Pacific team to slip, it's probably going to be the Sharks, unless the Kings are so casual they fall too far behind. Ducks could take it all this coming year though.
All the same I see the Canucks placing 4th in the Pacific and missing the playoffs, then drafting like 15th overall or something. ugh.

I *totally* would have scored nine points in the round that I missed. I JUST KNOW IT!
Thanks for doing this, rcade. And congrats to both 6illdisillyd and rumple.

Sorry for the delay. I'll be writing some code to automate this next time around.
I had trouble finding full series stats on sports news sites, but found them on Hockey Reference.
Congrats to Cixelsyd, who took a round off to make things fair and still mopped the floor with us. Rumple classes up the Constanza with a respectable 8, and Grum gets special recognition for making a last-minute bid for greatness.
