Now to the second half of the half-assed attempt to be halfway correct in my half-hearted attempt at the prediction game.
Calgary at Hamilton: For all the reasons that the good doctor has postulated in his lead, this should be close. While the points differential would seem to favor Calgary, their +5 is the result of an opening week blowout of Montreal, while Hamilton's -1 is mostly the result of an opening week blowout loss to Saskatchewan. Both teams have shown a tendency to score, but Tiger Cats have shown a bit more consistency. Since they are in their own litter box, I call Hamilton to win this by 12.
Saskatchewan at Edmonton: Again, Dr. J. has fully explained the reasoning for making picks. I agree it will be close, but I also believe Saskatchewan (why do I like to type 'Saskatchewan' so much?) is the stronger team and will prevail. Rough Riders (there, I resisted the temptation) by 4.

Montreal gets back on the wagon with a win in Winnipeg, while Toronto can't get anything going against the Lions.
JPR and tommytrump score a very impressive four points each to move into a four-way (!) tie for first place.
One more miniature bye week, one more chance to expand the first-place tie.
WEEK 7
Calgary @ Hamilton (Thursday, August 9)
Last-place versus first place. Except that they're within a game of each other. And Calgary's point differential is +1 while Hamilton's is -5. What's going on here?
Saskatchewan @ Edmonton (Friday, August 10)
Two evenly-matched teams trying to move out of a tie for second and into a tie for first. Saskatchewan has looked stronger, but Edmonton's at home, so let's call this a good-bye coin toss. (Get it? Good-bye? Good bye? For the bye week? Anybody?)
