Can't wait until late Friday afternoon for this week's picks. Wife has a long weekend off from work (something about some Italian sailor), and we are off for a weekend getaway to the city of my birth. It's not like a real long trip; Boston is only about 45 minutes away, but we'll hit a few nice restaurants, walk the Freedom Trail (while I bore wife with excruciating historical detail), and just enjoy the town. Have to go to the Bunker Hill Monument because wife is descended from Col. William Prescott, one of the heros of the battle. My ancestors at the time were hurrying to Canada to get away from the patriots.
So on the subject of travel, here goes:
Winnipeg going to Hamilton should mean that the Blue Bombers run out of fuel and crash. Tiger Cats by 10.
Stampeders gallop west to BC, but run into a pack of Lions. The Stamps want to avenge their loss to the Lions at home, but will fail. BC by 4.
Toronto has a short trip in store when they head east to Montreal for a nice autumn afternoon. By Monday night they'll wish they'd stayed home. Montreal by 18.
Rough Riders head northwest across the prairies to oil country. Eskimos will be safe in their igloo. Edmonton by 15.

Which Hamilton will show up to the game? The one that beat Calgary in Moncton with 55 points? Or the one that could only beat Toronto because of TO's own errors?
Hamilton by 4
Calgary by 5
Montreal by 17
Edmonton by 8

Montreal holds off Winnipeg to win a nail-biter in Swaggerville, while the Lions pull off a win in the newly renovated BC Place. Calgary just embarrasses Saskatchewan at home, while Hamilton all but eliminate Toronto from the postseason.
Lots of points awarded this week, and a few spreads were nailed. Apoch gains 6 to stay in the running, but Reever nabs 8 points to stay on top.
The playoff race is really heating up, as both divisions are seeing races for the top spots!
WEEK 15
Winnipeg @ Hamilton (Friday, October 7)
Winnipeg is still riddled with injuries, and Hamilton is a tough place for any visiting team. Hamilton can move into a second place tie with a win.
Calgary @ BC (Saturday, October 8)
A clash of the titans in the West! BC is on a six-game winning streak, but Calgary looked impressive last week against Saskatchewan.
Toronto @ Montreal (Monday, October 10)
Montreal looks to cement their grip on first place in the East with a win over the hapless Argos.
Saskatchewan @ Edmonton (Monday, October 10)
Both teams lost last week, but Edmonton made it respectable. Edmonton looks to stay in the hunt for first in the West with a win over the hot-and-cold Riders.
Good luck!
(Sorry it's not as spiffy as what Dr.J does. But it'll do.)
