Here we are, on a dreary, rainy Friday in New Hampshire, with a head that feels like it has been invaded by some sort of alien species, and a throat that has had the Egyptian Camel Cavalry make a pit stop in it, trying to come up with some CFL picks. No, we're not talking about the energy saving light bulbs, we're talking about the energy expending north-of-the-border game. In between coughs and sneezes, we'll persevere.
Montreal at Edmonton: We birdwatchers know that larks do not spend the cold weather in Alberta. Eskimos, on the other hand, do quite well when the frost is on the pumpkin. It looks like Edmonton by 12.
BC at Saskatchewan: I've spent too much time picking against the Lions here. The Rough Riders can't outrun the big cats, so I'll go with BC by 6.
Winnipeg at Toronto: The Argonauts have not done well this season. Thus, the Blue Bombers will not be blue after this one. Winnipeg by 16.
Calgary at Hamilton: Tiger Cats need to stay out of the way of large quadrupeds running out of control. Run, kitty, run, or you will be trampled. Stampeders win by 10.

Edmonton roars into Hamilton and wins the statement game. Toronto comes oh-so-close against Saskatchewan but a late turnover does them in. B.C. gets up off the mat in Calgary, and Winnipeg shocks the Alouette faithful.
Reever and apoch both nail the Saskatchewan win to pull ahead of the pack, but it's still Reever with a commanding four-point lead.
Fall is in the air, which means snow is on the ground in Edmonton.
WEEK 13
Montreal @ Edmonton (Friday, September 23)
How times have changed. Montreal is struggling to get back on top, while Edmonton looks poised to stay there.
B.C. @ Saskatchewan (Saturday, September 24)
Two winnning streaks collide in the race out of the West basement. B.C. has the longer streak, but the Riders have the serious home edge.
Winnipeg @ Toronto (Saturday, September 24)
Winnipeg can still see Montreal in the rear view mirror as they drive to Toronto. But you know what they say about playing teams that have nothing to lose.
Calgary @ Hamilton (Sunday, September 25)
Neither of these teams know exactly what they are. So one far, one is sort of good, and the other is sort of bad. So this game could be sort of interesting.
