Jay Mariotti charged with felony stalking and assault. (since it's about Jay Mariotti, this doesn't deserve an FPP)

Mariotti had such an easy gig. Show up for 30 minutes and bloviate on sports five nights a week with three other print media gasbags. Put six-figure salary in bank.
Is he drawing a paycheck from anybody at this point?

Is he drawing a paycheck from anybody at this point?
Well, he quit his job at the newspaper a while back, expecting that his bosses would want him back. It failed miserably, as they had no problem cutting him loose. He also lost his job on TV. I know that he was blogging for a while, but I don't think that was going to well, either.
According to a few sources I've read, Mariotti is despised by almost all of his fellow writers (sports or otherwise). He comes across as a real arrogant jerk, and spiteful fellow. Roger Ebert has some words to say about that.

Mariotti, what an asshat! As for what he's up to, there was this: "In addition to working at ESPN, Mariotti also wrote for the sports website Fanhouse.com, where he is known for criticizing athletes for their actions on and off the field." Note past tense. Facing up to five years in prison for this stupidity, seems likely his slide into ignominity is nearly complete.

Through one the Wings have played like crap. Here's to hoping they turn it around.

Well, the Sharks pulled it off. That means two of my picks were spot on and two of my picks were totally off.

I nailed the final four in the confidence pool!
Oh, and Datsyuk's backhand goal was ridiculous.

Normally the powerplay is supposed to give a team the advantage. The Wings didn't get that memo.
The Sharks are a good team, the conference finals should be exciting.

Sad to see the Wings loose, but Thornton was a beast tonight. If he goes in with that mentality on a nightly basis, the Sharks are in good shape.

Not at all sad to see the Wings go down. If only because it made my wife so happy.
