Nice piece by Stark, who I think is one of the better baseball talking heads in the business. I remember vividly when that accident happened. What a tragedy for all involved. Thanks for the link Jaquandor.

It's odd, because at the time, aside from the day or two of ripples the accident sent out, there wasn't much said about it in my area (St. Louis). It was only after talking with some Indians fans I realized how deeply it affected the team. Now, having lost Darryl Kile under tragic circumstances, I know what Cleveland fans felt that day and that season ...
