Top of the World!: Garnett has since left his losing ways behind and helped engineer the biggest turnaround in NBA history, turning the Celtics from a laughingstock to a champion. Tuesday night, it became clear that—just like losing did—winning has made Kevin Garnett completely insane.

Anyone who plays with the skull-crushing intensity that KG does would have trouble keeping it together outside of game time. Add in the fact that he's just won the championship and I think he's entitled to go completely hatstand. Give him a couple of weeks to come back down to earth and them get him back in training to keep his mind off prowling round scaring children and TV interviewers.

Tafoya worked at WCCO, a Minneapolis station, as a sports reporter for several years and also worked at Midwest Sports Channel (which eventually became Fox Sports North) as a sideline reporter for Timberwolves broadcasts, so Garnett and Tafoya have known each other for quite awhile. That might explain away some of the "casualness" going on in the interview.

Untrue. Garnett was also completely insane prior to winning a championship.

If anyone can actually deserve to win a championship *cough*Allen Iverson*cough*, it would have to be KG. All the losing and heartbreak that he had to go thru while with the Timberwolves makes this win so much meaningful. I'm truly happy for a guy that shows true emotion in every game and plays his heart out no matter what the score is.

Wow, Garnett went Joe Namath. Nah, he also made a point of criticizing Craig Sager's appearance during after a national broadcast this year, coming across the court to try to help Sager with his fashion choices.

Nah, he also made a point of criticizing Craig Sager's appearance during after a national broadcast this year I sure do remember that. Sager was rocking some God-awful fake, dark Celtic green suit that shined like a Sinatra suit from the 50's....except Sinatra actually had fashion sense and KG made one of the funniest cracks about Sager's suit that I've ever heard. Sager dresses like if his lights got shut off in his place and just picks up whatevers there to wear.

My favorite part was when he told Michelle Tafoya that she "looked good." Wow, Garnett went Joe Namath.
