Thanks lilnemo. Were it only for the need for continued employment - I would read all these. (Telamaketers - now THIS is a basketball playoff post) Just for those scoring at home (and because there are no known Nets fans on SpoFi - or perhaps computer literacy is an issue) My precious Raps will rebound from what was a horrible, horrible tight-anused effort on Saturday that still managed to come within a wide-open Derrick Martin three-ball from being tied with less than four minutes left. Unfortunately, Martin wasn't on the floor at the time, and was passed the ball whilst still wearing his warmups. On the bench. Anyway - the point is, that loss was as much a factor of what the Raps got away from and didn't do, as much as what the Nets did do. That Jason Kidd is a decent ballplayer though. I'll give you that. P.S. This post will not mention Vince Carter. On principle. P.P.S. Dammit.

Cough..Cough.. I will withhold any and all pro Iverson/Nuggets posts until they win at least 3 playoff games. That said, why is it when a good defensive team stops a good offense, the offense was 'shut down', but when a so-so defensive team complete shuts down a good offensive team, the offensive team was 'just missing shots'?

Thanks for the effort on the FPP, lilnemo. My theory is that the Mavs didn't realize that they were actually playing a playoff game. Perhaps they have been misinformed and thought they had a bye into the second round. Hopefully, they realize this now. Caron Butler isn't going to make it back for the playoffs. The Cavs can rest Lebron's anke and still cruise into the second round. What is all this talk about Kobe expending all his energy in the first half and then having none left for the second? Huh? Shouldn't he be able to play the whole game by this point in the season? He's not Shaq who only starts to work himself into shape in Feb or March for goodness sake. Can Nene keep up the defense he played on Duncan? I don't know, but I definitely didn't predict that he (and Camby) would be able to do it at all. And to Toronto and Utah, your best players have to be all the floor to win.

I will not get ahead of myself this time. The last time I did that the Flyers tied the series with Buffalo 2 years ago, then went on to get beat like 15-1. I had to disappear for about 3 weeks after that. I remember that! On topic: One of my co-workers said that the Warriors have beaten the Mavericks six straight times now, which coincides with Don Nelson (former Mavericks coach) taking over in Golden State. Is this true? Does he know all the Mavs' secrets? Where can I go back in time and put $50 on the Warriors to win this series?

All i have to say is " John Barry go to hell!". Why do i say this? Because he is a Miami Heat fan and all through the Bulls-Heat game he did nothing but put down the Bulls and praise the Heat. I hate it when anouncers take sides. He made it look like the Bulls are a bunch of cheating punks and that D-Wade and Shaq are the polite good guys that deserve to win. As i recall John the Heat have *cuagh* James Posey, but i won't get into that.

get a half way dominant center oh wait we had that in Eddie Curry Whao dude. Yes i agree that the Bulls should have kept Eddy Curry, but Eddy is no were near dominant. He also can't defend worth a crap. Well, as a Bull. In my opinion John Paxon has hurt the Bulls with all the trades he's made. For example, Elton Brand for Tyson Chandler. And getting rid of Jamaal Crawford who put up fifty points at his last game as a Bull.

1. Paxson did not trade Elton Brand, he wasn't GM yet.
2. Paxson drafted Ben Gordon and Chris Duhon, signed Jannero Pargo, and had Hinrich entrenched as starting PG after his rookie season. Why? Because Crawford was going to command a large contract, and the Bulls thought they would need that money to re-sign Curry. Instead the cash ended up going towards Ben Wallace. I prefer Wallace to Curry myself. As for Crawford? Well he's averaging 17.6 ppg, 40% fg, 32% 3p, while Gordon is averaging 21.4 ppg, 45% fg, and 41% 3p. No drop off there, huh?

In short, Paxson is probably a Top 5 GM. I'm not sure where your criticism truly stems from. :p
