Hidden: Feds trying to hush Bond's Ex Wife: Conspiracy anyone? Cuz I sure as hell can smell blood in the water. I just had to post this. I know everyone's prolly tired of all the Barry Bonds stories, but this one looks pretty interesting in light of the Jason Grimsley episode.

I had to look at this and I think its an actual cover up by the feds. Why aren't we talking about something else. Like why aren't we devoting time to finding a cheaper alternative fuel source? Why aren't we working on curing the next round of diseases? Why aren't we working to end civil war in Africa? Instead we're investing our time into this...grown men using illegal drugs so that they can take a piece of wood and hit a ball.

This country is in the tank. This country is great, people like you are part of the problem not the solution. I am so tired of Bonds I dont care if he holds a press conference and admits to taking steriods while digging Hofas grave and rubbing clear cream all over Sosa.

A take from Mike Epps stand up routine; "I went over to my cousins house to get a nickel bag of weed from him, when I tried to give him the money he said not to hand it to him, just throw it on the ground because the feds had him under investigation for selling nickel bags. I said the feds ain't watching your little ass, they don't give a damn about this little bit of nothing you are selling. The only person who has you under investigation is your baby's momma. You need to take that $40 dollars to her for child support and stop thinking the feds give a damn about what you are doing". When Lance Armstrong was accused of doping, why didn't the feds have his bike under investigation. Steroids, baseball, blah blah blah this is getting so tired. Police, NHL coaches and their wives are busted for a huge gambling ring, and we heard about that for about 2 weeks. Bonds doesn't test positive for steroids and we hear about it or something related to it for months. Not many people care anymore. Would another minority please do something wrong so the mainstream media will have something else to talk about.

Not many people care anymore. That's obviously not true, and while I don't think this nearly newsworthy (or discussionworthy) enough to be a front page post, we will be hearing more about this.

Wait until they all get cancer down the road and want us all to feel sorry for them. Then they'll all come clean, write a book and we'll all buy it,maybe not all of us, but that's what will happen.

The part about where Bonds eats "the clear" but says he thought it was flax seed oil makes me laugh everytime. Yes that Grimsley episode was very embarassing. I would just like to see Bonds admit it and for this to go away. How about those Tigers, who would have thought?

Would another minority please do something wrong so the mainstream media will have something else to talk about. it's kind of unfair to people who really suffer from race-related discrimination to try and paint this as more a race issue than it is a question of cheating, and if we care whether or not athletes have extra advantages. i think it undermines the seriousness of the race issue to try and affix it to something like this. if anything, i feel like it's a microcosmic class issue, in that the megastars maybe can afford designer supplements that can't be tested for while the average or sub-par players are the ones who might get caught or get the most injured for using cheaper, or older enhancements. the latter is a speculation, but the first isn't.

I think it is legitimate to question why Bonds is getting more than his fair share of crap. It could be race-related. The most anyone can say is that his/her feelings about Bonds aren't related to race. You can't really speak to the federal investigators, MLB, the media, or anyone else. The federal authorities that are investigating Bonds don't really solve any of the problems like fuel alternatives or diseases. They investigate crime, the higher profile the better. Finally, they are not trying to hush up his ex-girlfriend (not his ex-wife). It is common for witnesses to be told not to talk to the media or anyone else about their testimony. They don't want to run the risk of her story changing or of showing their hand before they are ready. This is very similar to the reasons why Bonds was not expected to appear before Congress. This is not surprising, a conspiracy, or even a big deal.

Barry Bonds gets a free pass because he is black. This is ridiculous. Why are you all defending him? And the nerve of you to say it is race related. If he was white he would have been banned for life already. He cheated. Period. And you want to say it's ok to cheat because of his race. Ok.

Would another minority please do something wrong Barry Bonds gets a free pass because he is black And you want to say it's ok to cheat because of his race Tim, how the hell do you get "it's ok for him to cheat because of his race" from "would another minority please do something WRONG"? Why are we all defending him? I'm not sure you're reading this right. He's not really the main part of the discussion. It's more of a crack on the media to please stop digging for stories related to this. Enough already. It's kind of like the republican's response to why the President's approval rating is so low. "Well Clinton got impeached". Some of us are merely saying, give it a rest. I personally don't care enough about Bonds to defend him. But when a select few talk like they want him in jail for life, it's a little out of control.

Does anyone here realize what's actually going on in this situation. In a country full of overwhelming problems, our federal government has decided to throw it force behind STERIOD INVESTIGATIONS?? The more this is reported in the sports media and even more so in the traditional media, the heats comes off the people in power. Before i'm accused of making a crazy left wing argument, people on both sides are responsible. This country is in the tank and headlines include PRO SPORTS STEROIDS SCANDLE are you freaking kidding me. I know that in the sports media this is a story, I really wish they would chill out on it a little so people could breath and realize this is SO DAMN TRIVIAL I CANNOT BELIEVE IT.
