Hidden: Ban Martinez: Buch Martinez should be removed from the United States entirely. Martinez. Is he Mexican? Did he throw the game? The Classic? I've watched over every game of the WBC and was at one of the US "wins" (over Japan). He can't manage a day care center. Forget about a team of millionaires. Was he serious? Pinch running Johnny Damon at first with Chipper on second. I understand that "if" Wells hit a double Damon could score from first. But what about putting one of the best contact hitters in baseball, a man that the Yankess stole from their rivals, to pinch hit? Maybe he wouldn't hit a homer. Maybe he would have walked or singled. He probably wouldn't have struck out. And, if he grounded the ball to short, he would have had a better chance of avoiding the double play. Also, forget what Martinez, Jon Miller, Rick Sutcliff and Eric Karros said. The Americans have every reason to hang their heads. Losing to Canada AND Mexico. Are we being invaded from the North and the South?
We seem to be rich in righteous racists who can't be bothered to learn to spell the names of the people they hate. Is your family Native American, docuhebag? If not, who are you to ask "Is he Mexican"? Fuck you. Go find some 88 Stormfront whiners to hang out with.

Did I get this straight? "I lift weights?" Perhaps book lurnin' wasn't on the agenda. *note* This isn't a slam on all weight lifters. Just the ignoramus' who proudly announce their stupidity.

The above post is precisely why I've always dreaded a "real World Series" like the WBC. I enjoy watching mercenaries from all over the globe joining together and wearing my hometown's colors in pursuit of respect, glory, and money. I don't so much enjoy the idea that national pride is on the line with every bobbled grounder or hanging curveball.
