True. Danton doesn't deserve any more sympathy than Frost. In my opinion, they are both reprehensible people. (though naturally I place more blame on the older, wiser, influential figure.) I just think alot of my time, and others', wouldn't have been wasted had he succeeded with his plot. Two birds, one stone, assuming he would've been caught promptly after the deed.

Your headline is pretty bizarre too. How is Danton/Jefferson any more sympathetic a figure than his svengali agent? Being really bad at arranging murder doesn't negate the fact you tried to have someone killed.
