Hey Dude.....: I'm not sure this justifies an FPP, but what the hell, it can always be deleted. The link is to ( in honour of the over representation of ersatz Scousers here ) an ode to Jerzy Dudek, but the whole site is, well, a bit of a curates egg really, but well worth investigation.

curate's egg. Sadly the site is blocked by our internet filters at work, so I'll have to wait until later to discover the joys of obsessive worship of LFC.

I'm not sure if this justifies my comment, but what the hell, it can always be deleted. With a little more confidence in the quality of the link and maybe a mention of the recent announcement of a search for the Barclaycard Chant Laureate this warrants FPP material IMHO. squealy, preview for you: Hey Dude, don't be a fool Take a bad ball and make it better Remember to keep her out of your net And then you'll start to make it better Hey Dude dont be afraid The ball is yours so go and save her The minute you let her into your hands Then you can start to make it better I am sure you can figure out the tune.

I'll have to read it later for the same reasons as squealy. On a related note, did you know that the Pope is a reds fan? General hilarity may now ensue ...

Yeah, but the Pope's boss seems to support Man United. curses

I by the way have never written a Liverpool poem, but I don't have time for a Byronic tragedy today so I shall hold off for a bit if that's ok.

From the guardian's report of last nights match: Last night, for the first time, discontent in the current regime's perceived under-achievement spilled visibly on to the terraces. The banner - "Not good enough LFC: time to go Houllier" draped in the Anfield Road end - was snatched down by officials and the offenders harshly thrown out. Anfield as fascist republic?

It could well be, gspm, old chap, that the very notion of a chant laureate is so poxy as to be laughable; it smacks of Villa fans requiring song sheets to try and generate an atmosphere in the library that is Villa park. You can bet your arse that whatever chant wins it, it won't be sung, football fans aren't stupid, but they are witty and spontaneous, and it is through wit and spontaneity that the best chants come about, like my personal favourite: "WHAAH, WHAAH, BRROOOUGHWHA!" Can I have my ten thousand now please?

> curates egg Huh? Still, cool link. This woman is much more obsessed than we'll ever be--that's a hella lot of poems about LFC! I wrote one, once, seemed sufficient.
