Hum... Mendoza batting average, a strike-out per game and a bum knee. I think my Mets are better off without him. I do hope he's all right though and hope his family tracks him down.

cromulent: Used in an ironical sense to mean legitimate, and therefore, in reality, spurious and not at all legitimate. Assumes common knowledge of the inherent Simpsons reference.

I wasn't sure if it was the first FPP with a picture, but it went well with the post... i thought. nope msacheson, I like Mo quite a bit despite the problems he had with the Red Sox and the last team Red Sox Nation is worried about is the Mets. That being said, hope he's okay. Speaking of "being ok" - where's djacobs? It could be safe to presume he is obviously too distraught to post on this matter. Either that, he's off with (*cough* *cough* kidnapped) Mo Vaughn. Either scenerio is entirely possible.

Is there a pop quiz on last night's vocabulary homework? My contribution, in honor of vito's 'cromulent' : crapulence. Johnny, please use your word in a sentence so I can give you full credit. Perhaps an explanation for Mo's absence is that he prefers to wallow in his own crapulence than face the career-threatening-injury music. Very good Johnny! You get a scratch-n-sniff!
