Not exactly the people you want on your side...: The Klan is taking the side of Augusta in its stance on a fully male membership. Critics are saying it's just what they deserve, and the golf club is doing its best to keep away from the KKKrazies.
The Klan simply wants to use this protest to increase their exposure. I agree that it could hurt Augusta National's cause, I just hope that enough people have learned to ignore this ridiculous organization's propaganda (although they did get ESPN to write a story about it).

Haha. Take that Hootie. When you sleep with the dogs, you get fleas. I think Burk is really losing momentum on this cause. Nobody outside of that circle of elites really gives a shit. I however am extremely impressed that when Burk threatened to boycott the commercial sponsors Hootie in effect said "fuck it, we'll go commercial free next year." That is seriously putting your money where your mouth is. However...I would like to see Oprah make a push to get in there. That would make it a compelling story.

OK, first off, it's not like Hootie ASKED these people to tie their boats to his. It's a publicity stunt, plain and simple. Second, this isn't even the KKK! It's some offshoot redneck who's decided to form his own little Klan, except ... don't you need a bunch of people to have a Klan?!? Finally, for Burk to equate a bunch of guys who don't want women in their club with people who lynched and shot other people because of the color of their skin or their religious beliefs? My god ... someone stuff a driver cover in this woman's mouth. "We're tired of poor, white trash calling themselves the Ku Klux Klan and the negative image the Ku Klux Klan is getting.'' — the negative image the Klan is getting? From white trash?!? How about from the killings?!?

This would make me want to switch my viewpoint, simply on principle. If the Klan ever agreed with anything I was doing, I'd stop doing it. But then, that's just one man's opinion....
