LEGO is getting into the sports collectible business with tiny interlocking NBA pros. See what your favorite players would look like with jug-shaped heads and missing noses. The injection-molded hair on Dirk Nowitzki and stubbly beard on Predrag Stojakovic are particularly flattering. (Via The Shifted Librarian)

I am curious why Nowitzki got his hair deal, and Nash did not. Ah well...

Jesus - as if Dirk wasn't ugly enough in real life. That doll looks more like Don Nelson

This is hilarious! I particularly enjoyed Chris Webber's figurine, as they captured his utter fatheadedness. One question, though — when will Lego be sued by Otto Pilot, the blow-up doll from "Airplane!" These little fellas all bear a striking resemblance to him. Also, on my Christmas wish list right now — the Lego NBA All-Stars Gold Club arena! Teach your children how Michael and the big-time stars spend their down time! Extra feature: Patrick Ewing's doll comes with his own big peg to seat dancers!

Thanks, vito! I have no idea what you just said. Does that have anything to do with me being the bomb? Oh well ... word to your aunt!

Great links. I now have gifts for all of my nieces and nephews for all of their birthdays this year!

Where's the soccer version? They already have the table soccer set. (And these excellent beat the goalie -- with hilarious big goalie hands -- and precision shooting sets as well.) Why not personalize the players? You know it's gonna be good!

It's funny that it says "Jason Kidd," but it's clearly TJ. Antoine Walker's figure is perfectly to scale except for the bump on the top.

Man, the Nowitzki one is horrible. How come he's the only one that got the helmet treatment? I wonder if it's removable and you could slap it on, say, Vince Carter.
